Description: |
Cardno Emerging Markets USA, Ltd., (Cardno) is currently seeking Chief of Party (COP) candidates for current health projects and upcoming opportunities globally.
The Chief of Party will have strategic vision, successful leadership experience, international health and development experience, technical expertise and experience in one or more of the following technical areas: MNCH, nutrition, food security, health systems, HIV/AIDS, other infectious diseases, monitoring and evaluation, health finance, social marketing and behavior change communication.
The successful candidates will have knowledge of management principles and evaluation techniques related to management programs and/or systems to fulfill the diverse technical and managerial requirements of the programs. S/he will have demonstrated track record in successfully managing government relations; a commitment to capacity building; a strong interest in private sector approaches to development and experience successfully implementing international health programs. The COP will also have experience in interacting with government agencies or international health development organizations, host country governments and international donor agencies.

Qualifications: |
The ideal candidate shall have:
• Minimum of 10 years experience in managing public health projects in developing countries
• Excellent communication skills, including oral and presentation skills and the ability to interact and speak authoritatively at technical and policy levels, with a wide range of senior government and non-government stakeholders
• Experience with applied, operations, and policy research issues in developing countries and proven ability to lead a team of technical professionals
• Experience in undertaking high-level policy dialogue with a multitude of stakeholders, donors, and in providing technical assistance to developing country government Ministries
• Experience managing and reporting on large donor-funded programs, particularly for USAID
• MPH, DrPH, MD, MBA, PhD or relevant advanced degree
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English required
