Description:	Cardno Emerging Markets USA, Ltd. (Cardno) is currently seeking candidates for a Private Sector Competitiveness Expert position for an anticipated USAID-funded economic competitiveness project in Georgia. The Economic Prosperity Initiative (EPI) will seek to improve enterprise and industry competitiveness by identifying and targeting key external and internal factors to enhance the growth rates and productivity of enterprises in the economy, thereby enhancing the economic well-being of workers in the economy. At the same time, EPI will improve the private sector’s understanding of government reforms and plans for improving government efficiency and effectiveness, and strengthen the relationship between public and private sector economic institutions. The project will devote resources to three areas: economic governance, agricultural sector competitiveness, and non-agricultural private sector competitiveness.
Qualifications:	Master’s or Ph.D. in related field is strongly preferred Experience (at least 5 years) managing projects, activities, or components responsible for strengthening the competitiveness of various private sectors in countries or regions with comparable development challenges Experience making linkages between assistance and new or increased engagement in targeted markets Demonstrated ability to manage for success in multi-component projects with multifunctional teams and international personnel Relevant private sector experience Preference will be given to candidates with previous experience in Georgia Strong verbal and written communication skills Fluency in English; Russian and Georgian language skills preferred
